Disease Management
and Diagnostics
Our easy-access veterinary hospital began operations in June 1998, and we’ve provided excellent veterinary care ever since. Our animal hospital includes an intensive care/recovery room, an isolation ward for infectious disease cases (to protect other pets), and an in-house laboratory with digital radiology for x-rays.
Our veterinary hospital can also offer “same day” blood work diagnostics and radiology because of our in-house equipment. At our animal hospital, we take your time and your pet’s health seriously in everything that we do.
If you reside in Ooltewah, TN, McDonald, TN, or Apison, TN and have questions or concerns about your pet, feel free to fill out the form below and one of the team members at our pet hospital will get back to you as soon as we can after consulting one of our veterinarians. Veterinary Surgery
Applebrook Animal Hospital features a surgery suite equipped with monitoring devices and anesthesia machines (with the same anesthetics used in human medicine but in dosages optimal for pet health). Our veterinarians are meticulous about intraoperative monitoring as well as postoperative pain coverage. Our pet hospital is not an “assembly line” surgical provider; we take extra special care in all things regarding pet health and veterinary medicine.

Veterinary Dentistry
We are one of the few animal hospitals in the Ooltewah, McDonald and Apison, TN area that features veterinary dental radiology. This means we can have results and enact a treatment plan sooner. While this level of technology is not required in the veterinary field, we believe in going above and beyond in every way possible! At Applebrook Animal Hospital, we take your pet’s oral health seriously. We also have an ultrasonic scaler and diamond carbide dental drill should your pet require tooth extraction.
With all the most advanced dental equipment at our animal clinic, we can discover issues below the gumline and aren’t otherwise visible. This includes the “bite wing” x-ray that allows our veterinarians to assess tooth roots and bone integrity. It also helps us locate and treat periodontal disease, which is the accumulation of plaque and tartar that can lead to heart disease. This disease is entirely preventable with routine dental cleanings.
Unlike with humans, our veterinarians use anesthesia at our veterinary hospital in order to ensure a pain-free experience for your furry friend and achieve the most thorough cleaning possible. Our veterinarians use fear-free techniques before, during and after your pet’s dental visit.
Pet Boarding:
Overnight and Day Care
We don’t just provide excellent treatment for pet health at our veterinary clinic: our animal hospital also offers pet boarding services to our regular clients residing in Apison, Ooltewah, McDonald and Cleveland, TN and neighboring communities.
Our pet boarding is special because of the love and care that we provide. Our animal clinic doesn’t have a swimming pool or plasma screen TVs, but if your pet is with us you can rest assured that they are being attentively cared for — and our veterinary hospital has a great backyard for playtime!
Bear in mind that our cozy pet clinic only has 12 runs, so if you are a regular client and know the dates you would want to board, book as soon as you can. At our animal clinic, we’ll do what we can to serve everyone: but space can fill up fast!
Our veterinarians and staff like for our boarders to leave our veterinary clinic smelling fresh, so plan your pick-up time during our hours of operation to take advantage of your FREE boarder bath!
